We are constantly renewing and improving our provision. Last year we published English Language Comparative Text Packs for OCR, AQA, Eduqas & Edexcel. To help your students to make those precise marginal gains each of the 8 themes holds 6 comparative texts per theme from the relevant centuries. AO content, areas of study, discussion material, likely questions and indicative content are also covered. In addition to these very large and insightful unseen texts we also published for each exam board Unseen Poetry Anthology which also includes examiner tips and exam questions along with a general introduction, discussion points and teaching tips per poem. In the second half of the Autumn terms we anticipate publishing our final selection of these anthologies which are the unseen fiction texts, again with all of the AOs, Indicative Content and Questions.

Our Eduscribers have found these packs to be a useful classroom tool for the new GCSE.

Carefully crafted Take Aways which can be picked up and used straight away in a classroom will be part of our weekly emails to all English subscribers. In addition these Take Aways will be filed in our carefully crafted menus so no internet searching for hours when you change texts. Just look for them under the exam board and text.

IGCSE Live Script Request - Can you help?

Like our English Language and Literature GCSE provision we are developing IGCSE provision and would like to offer our IGCSE subscribers the Live Script option. Selected schools will be given the opportunity to have sit 30 students take one of our IGCSE exam papers written by an IGCSE examiner. Following the  marking of the thirty scripts you then post the scripts to us and we have an expert Senior or Chief Examiner second mark them. This is followed up with a report for your eyes only. The most useful 10 Live Scripts are made available to our subscribers along with a narrative about each script. No schools or students are identifiable.  If you are following any of the new 9-1 IGCSE specs and would like to know more please email me.

New English GCSE Lesson Plans & Assessment Packs

All our schemes, assessment packs and teacher guides for the new English GCSEs are now on the site. You can find all the details of the resources that we offer for the new GCSEs here.

Our English Lesson Plans for the new GCSEs have been developed by experienced English teachers who have been closely guided by the new specs and are aware of the need for progress and differentiation. Our Assessment Packs, which include trial papers, mark schemes and support notes, have been developed by experienced English assessors with extensive awarding body experience and by people who were very closely involved in the development of these new specifications.
