New Forum

We are really excited about our new subscriber forum which we launch later this month. The forum can only be accessed by our subscribers and our writers so will be a safe place to pose questions and share ideas. The forum will be subdivided into components to ensure discussions are organised and accessible. All subscribers will be informed of the launch shortly.

New English Resources

English Language and Literature Teacher Guides will be published this month with graduated examples and indicative content. These guides are written and moderated by examiners and contain a series of examiners’ tips.

From September we will be publishing GCSE English Language Comparative Text Packs for AQA, OCR, Eduqas and Edexcel. Written by examiners and writers of the new specifications, each board’s comparative text pack will contain 48 texts consisting of 6 comparative texts per theme covering 8 different themes. The text packs will have teacher assistance focused on assessment objectives, content, areas of study, discussion material, likely questions and indicative content.

To further support you with the implementation of the new specifications we will be publishing Unseen Poetry Anthology Packs in the autumn term for AQA, OCR, Eduqas and Edexcel. Each pack will link to 30 poems across 5 themes and will include examiners' tips and exam questions along with general introductions, discussion points and teaching ideas for each poem.

New Film and Media Resources

Our new teaching materials, which we will be publishing in the autumn term, aim to provide quality ideas and materials for those of you who are confident in your teaching and additional support to those of you who are newer to these subjects. Our new approach will start with GCSE before moving onto A Level and will contain some or all of the following elements:

  • Step-by-step lesson plans
  • A student resource pack containing student worksheets and exemplars for each scheme and task
  • A term-by-term overview for planning coursework, homework and assessment
  • Mock examinations and exemplar responses
  • Quizzes and case studies
