Edusites is an online provider of professional subject specific support to almost 40% of all secondary schools. Edusites English was established by and for heads of department, examiners and teachers to create an online professional development community. As an online publisher not owned or affiliated with an exam board we provide consistent support across all four GCSE English Language and Literature exam boards. We know teachers must be enabled to teach with assurance and our teachers are empowered to plan effectively, assess accurately and teach with confidence.

A subscription gives you access for a year to our whole site and community not just a purchase of individual resources.

Live scripts for discussion

In January we will have examples of responses to our exams taken by Year 11 students from schools across the country. These online resources will be for all four of the exam boards. At least ten anonymous scripts for each exam board will be rank ordered along with commentary from an examiner and their teacher. We know that everyone is feeling nervous about the new exams. We have already had a positive response from many of our current subscribers about this new resource. We cannot promise perfect results but we can promise an involved, positive and purposeful group of teachers and examiners engaged in the preparation of Year 11 students to do their very best.

Our GCSE English Language & Literature Schemes & Assessment Packs cover the new GCSE specs for AQA, Edexcel, OCR and Eduqas and provide lesson plans, trial papers and mark schemes.

What else are we offering at Edusites English?

With our group of committed and engaged experts in teaching and learning we are continually developing ‘next steps’ to respond to marginal gains expectations and developments.

GCSE English Language Unseen Text Packs

Our non-fiction comparative anthologies written for each exam board offer everything teachers need as well as a definitive pathway to ensure AO requirements are met. Each pack, written and moderated by exam board experts, provides 48 texts for each exam board alongside AO content, areas of study, likely areas of questioning and indicative content.

This example is one of many initiatives that respond to questions arising from our subscribing schools. We respond to queries raised by our subscribers about particular topics and our site is vast but well organised. As an example of a specific resource our integrated exercises below was written by one of the authors of the new specification who wanted to explain and explore instances of Language and Literature specification links to engage students in the classroom.
